Organic Glam in Malibu

“We want a backyard vibe, bistro lights, long farm tables, not too much but just enough decor, you know, like the big family dinners in the show Parenthood...” Yep, we know exactly what you want! That’s how it all started with this organic, natural and just a touch of rustic Malibu wedding.

Guests were greeted by a custom painted sign from our friends at Ink & Pine a simple guest book and a natural arrangement showcasing an awesomely huge air plant. We wanted to keep the element of surprise, not show too much off the bat and build the drama as guests continued through their evening.

The ceremony showcased a gorgeously adorned chuppah by J Flowers that perfectly enhanced the breathtaking backdrop at Cielo Farms. Chairs were adorned with beautiful wooden fans, both practical and sentimental for our Japan born bride and also where the couple was engaged the year before. To tie it all together and have some fun, olive leaves were tossed over the couple for the big kiss!

Long flanking farm tables were dressed with airy cheesecloth runners and scattered vases, big and small, for an effortlessly elegant appeal. Candlelight added a romantic glow as the sun went down and friends and family shared stories and laughs over dinner with a remarkable sunset view.

The dance party was also a consistent topic during the planning process, so we could think of no one better than the epic team at The Flash Dance to bring the heat to the dance floor. The couple kicked it off with their first dance and several rounds of the Horrah to get the crowd going.

Little nods to their carefree, lively personalities added a playful element to the night: personalized hand towels and summery Aperol Spritz specialty cocktails. Let’s not forget the overflowing dessert bar from Contemporary Catering. The air was filled with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and guests swooned over the mini cheesecake shots. If they somehow still had room for more, tray passed mini breakfast burritos rolled out of the kitchen for anyone willing to take a break from the dance floor.
