Minimal Modernism meets Rustic Ranch in Carmel Valley
Let’s paint the scene… friends and family take over the historic Holman Ranch, the sunshine peeks through the storm and the A-team of Carmel Valley comes together for a picture perfect weekend. This chic couple’s love story started over a decade ago in their hometown in Connecticut and traveled all the way to San Francisco. Their guests gathered from all over the country for an intimate wedding weekend filled with wine tasting, stunning charcuterie boards and a ceremony that came straight out of a magazine.
The genius Carlie Statsky captured every detail of the day - from minimal invites designed by the Groom’s brother to stunning earrings of the brides’ mother that she dawned as her something blue. The rustic ranch was the perfect compliment to their modern style.
From ceremony to reception, every floral detail from the brilliant Christine Cater was on point! The classic ‘less is more’ could not have been more true for this wedding. Simple vases filled with the most gorgeous blooms were sprinkled throughout and the playful groupings of arrangements and single varieties added an unexpected element.
Guests were welcomed through the Holman estate into the gorgeous rose garden to enjoy a family style dinner from Paradise Catering complete with only the freshest ingredients and local produce. The long farm tables from Chic Event Rentals brought a rustic, warm feel coupled with modern tableware to drive home the couple’s take on the ranch style venue. Chic gold and gray flatware paired with a recycled wine bottle water glass kept the casual vibe going in an elegant way! Dinner finished off with local sugar donuts, because who doesn’t love a sugar donut, am I right?! BUT there was one exception… the groom made a special request to surprise his new bride with a crème brûlée so she could enjoy her favorite dessert on her big day… so we did just that!
As dinner winded down, the bistro lights turned up and guests filled the carriage house to join the newlyweds for their first dance and boogie the night away with Dart Collective. Everyone enjoyed the photo booth, cozied up with blankets and then, just when they thought the night was coming to an end, shuttles drove to Holman Tavern for a silent disco complete with hilarious wigs and loads of disposable cameras to capture the fun!
